About

Composite Lodge No 1 held its inaugural ceremony at a rented lodge at Springvale, San Fernando, with nine foundation members taking office and four others in the Management Committee.
AND SO COMPOSITE LODGE NO. 1 WAS BORN IN 1947
Of the foundation members all gone to the great beyond and have left a legacy of which we are justly proud.
After some time Composite Lodge No. 1 moved to Legendre Street San Fernando, into a building owned by the Odd fellows. Composite Lodge No. 1 moved from strength to strength in membership and finance.
Prosperity made us look upward and outward and so in 1960 a drive was made to build our own Temple .Bro H.V. Gopaul gave us FREE the spot on which the Temple stands today. We are especially grateful to him and his family who are still kindly disposed to us.
Up to 1967 the Sir Knights and Higher Degree members had been attached to the St. Paul’s Grand Christian Encampment. Good Friday the 24th 1967, was a historical date for Composite Lodge No. 1 when a Dispensation was granted to establish its own Grand Christian Encampment. It was named the Jaggerns Grand Christian Encampment in honour of Bro. Lalchan Jaggernauth, M.B.E..
“In this grand fraternity we get to know men that we would have never met otherwise. Getting to know them not by their looks or touch, but by their hearts, minds, and souls.”
